SILISEC also acts as a fertilizer that favours the thickening of the cuticle (silica layer) of the stem, leaves, and fruit, providing greater structural rigidity and therefore, greater resistance to infection by pathogens (mildew, powdery mildew, Botrytis, Xylella) that cause serious diseases.
